WCR Indonesia to Host Sharing Session “Empowering Resilient Women Police Officers to Protect Women and Children” for the 78th Anniversary of Women Police

Jakarta, September 2026 — In commemoration of the 78th Anniversary of Women Police (HUT Polwan), Women and Children Resilience (WCR) Indonesia, in collaboration with Polda Metro Jaya and Studio Kreasi Sasa, will host a Sharing Session entitled “Wujudkan Polwan Tangguh Lindungi Perempuan dan Anak” (Empowering Resilient Women Police Officers to Protect Women and Children), under the theme “One Police Woman, Extraordinary Impact.”
The event will take place on Friday, 11 September 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. WIB at Studio Kreasi Sasa, Jl. Letjen S. Parman Kav. 32–34, Slipi, Palmerah, West Jakarta.
The event aims to provide a space for sharing experiences, perspectives, and inspiration while highlighting the important role of women in strengthening protection and support for women and children. Through meaningful discussions and interaction, the session seeks to encourage greater awareness of the contribution women can make in creating safer, more resilient, and supportive environments.
The program will begin with opening remarks by Dr. Margaretha Hanita, S.H., M.Si., Director of Women and Children Resilience (WCR) Indonesia, followed by opening remarks from Kombes Pol Dr. Rita Wulandari Wibowo, S.I.K., M.H., Director of the PPA-PPO Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya.
The main program will feature two inspiring sharing sessions. Dr. Rieke Dyah Pitaloka, Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives for the 2024–2029 term, will discuss “The Challenges of the Women Support Women Movement.” This will be followed by a session led by AKBP (Ret.) Endang Sri Lestari, S.H., M.Si., Child Protection Indonesia (LPAI) Board Member, on “Resilient and Empowered Women Police Officers Protecting Women and Children.”
Adding a more interactive element to the event, participants will also take part in a Special Activity featuring a cooking demonstration with Studio Kreasi Sasa and Chef Kong. The activity is designed to foster a sense of togetherness while providing an engaging experience as part of the HUT Polwan celebration.
Through this event, WCR Indonesia continues to encourage collaboration and empower women to play an active role in building safer and more resilient environments for women and children.
The spirit of “One Police Woman, Extraordinary Impact” serves as a reminder that the contribution of one woman can create a meaningful and far-reaching impact—through her dedication, support, leadership, and commitment to protecting those who need it most.
